At just 15 years old, Andressa Urach began a romantic relationship and Tiago Costa. Within three months, they got married. The couple was blessed with an unmarried child named Arthur Urach Costa born on May 19th, 2005. Following divorce, the couple split in 2008, following six years together. Andressa Urach was moved in with her mother to live with her one child. After 6 months of separation she quit her job and later decided to take her son with his father, hoping for the better opportunities within Sao Paulo however, being very vain and ambitious her main objective in leaving the South was to be successful and wealthy. Andressa Urach describes in her book Morri Para Viver her experiences with the sexual assault she endured as a young child. She suffered from age 2 to eight of being abused by the grandfather she adopted. Andressa Urach only got free of the abuse after her foster grandma was able to catch her in the act. Andressa then returned home to her mother, who was unaware that she had been abused until Andressa wrote her book. She claimed in interviews that she had accomplished what, for her, was unattainable prior to her spiritual awakening: forgiveness of her victim. In one of my hardest decisions, I called that person I had hurt me sexually. It wasn't an easy task to take on. While I didn't feel guilt-free, I pleaded for his forgiveness via phone after many prayer vows. All I did was ask for forgiveness. Mariste Urach shares her reactions in an interview with Globo. She explains the way she reacted after hearing about the sexism that was exhibited on her daughter. An interview on Globo Mariste Urach discusses how she reacted when she learned about the intimidation suffered through her son.
